  • An installation contractor which has been admitted to membership only after passing through a most comprehensive and wide ranging vetting procedure.
  • A Comprehensive Written Guarantee for their installation issued by the installer
  • Deposit Protection Insurance to safeguard any deposits paid (underwritten by an independent FSA regulated insurance provider)
  • Insurance Backed Guarantee Protection to underwrite the installers' guarantee (to ensure that the guarantee will be honored in the event of the installer ceasing to trade)
  • Access to the Members DGCOS Approved Remedial and Complaint Handling Procedures.
  • Free access to the Conciliation, Mediation, and Arbitration Procedures (independently administered by The Ombudsman and legally binding on both parties). These protection mechanisms are in place to deal with any disputes that may arise during installation and for the period of the installers guarantee.
  • Free inspections of disputed installations (where the DGCOS appointed mediator or The Ombudsman deems necessary)
  • A FENSA Certificate to prove the installation conforms to current Building Regulations
